50 NEWS APRIL 2019 The Association of Cereal and Pulses Processing Te- chnologies, Storage and Analysis Systems (TABADER) held the Second Gathering of Doyen that earned gene- ral approval of the sector during IDMA 2019 Exhibition held at Istanbul Expo Center. The association changed the name of the gathering into “International Doyens’ Gathering and Award Ceremony.” It awarded promi- nent people that contributed to the milling sector in dif- ferent countries and added value to this industry with plaques. In this way, the night already internationalized in the second edition and became the center of interest. Speaking during the opening ceremony of the night, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Bayram, President of TABADER, said the following: “This night is the night of fidelity. This night is the night of history. This night is the night of the archive. This night is not just an award ceremony. Just like the previous gathering, at this night, we re- member those contributed to this sector, make these people remembered and commemorate those who left us and acclaim these people’s value and success.” At the International Doyens Gathering and Award Ceremony, the association presented awards in six categories: the Foundation of the Year Honor Award, Those Who Brought Value to the Sector Honor Award, Those Who Left Us Honor Award, and Those Who Contributed to the Development of the Sector Honor Award, Young TABADER Honor Award, and the Doyen of Sector Honor Award. TABADER’s Board of Directors selected these people upon a thorough investigation. The Turkish Grain Board (TMO), Turkish Union of Chambers and Exchange Commodities (TOBB), Gazi- antep Chamber of Commerce, Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce, and Turkish Pasta Industrialists Associations have been presented with the award of the Foundation of the Year.
