34 NEWS JUNE 2019 Vortex wins export award Limagrain Ingredients changes its name for a new horizon Vortex Global Ltd., a solids and bulk handling compo- nents company, has been recognised by Solids Handling and Processing Association (SHAPA) with the 2019 Sol- ids Handling Industry Export Award. The award was presented on Wednesday, 8 May, at the SHAPA AGM & Solids Handling Industry Awards Dinner. The event was hosted at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Vortex Global’s award recognition is largely due to its demonstrated achieve- ment in exportation activities. This includes a significant percentage increase in export sales, as well as successful entry into new global markets. Most notably, Vortex ex- panded markets into Finland and revised its sales strategy in the Middle East, contracting with new equipment rep- resentatives in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman and Qatar, as well as nearby Egypt. Vortex revised its sales strategy in Asia as well, contracting with a new equipment representative in India. In Central America, Vortex relocated its Latin America office from Pachu- ca, Mexico to Queretaro, Mexico. The move enhances transportation accessibility, in order to travel to clients throughout the region. “We are grateful and honoured to be recognised by SHAPA with this award,” said Laurence Millington, managing director at Vortex Global Ltd. “This award embodies our employees’ dedication to providing solu- tions that truly enhance our customers’ dry bulk solids processes. The Vortex customer service and technical support network currently spans more than 120 inter- national markets. Our goal is to continue exportation growth for the future, so that Vortex products and ser- vices are made available worldwide.” The business unit of Limagrain group dedicated to in- gredients, changed its name from Limagrain Céréales In- grédients into Limagrain Ingredients. This name change will apply to all its entities, including Unicorn Grain Spe- cialties BV and Unicorn Grain Specialties GmbH, the two entities that joined Limagrain Ingredients last year. The new name Limagrain Ingredients reflects the internation- alization of the company activities. Its ingredients are sold in 58 countries generating a turnover close to € 150 mil- lion. More than 330,000 tons of grain are processed each year produced in seven production plants across Europe. Limagrain Ingredients believes that life can be en- riched by healthy nutritional experiences. Grain is the essential ingredient for well-balanced nutrition. The vo- cation of Limagrain Ingredients is to reveal the natural potential of grain. “All our production processes with- in our company, ensure 100 % natural products with distinct functionalities. Whether we talk about milling, heat treatment, pressure cooking, extruding, etc., there are no chemical treatments within our company. We master our integrated chain from breeding to process- ing. Limagrain Ingredients sell its products to 6 international application markets; Bakery, Culinary, Snacks, Breakfast Cereals, Petfood & horses and Young Animals (Piglets & Calves) and two domestic application markets; Tradi- tional Bakery and wood Pellets.
