28 NEWS MILLER / DECEMBER 2019 A brand-new mill signed by GEA-Golfetto Sangati in Italy The Naldoni family has a long-established position in the milling industry with their first mill dating over 200 years ago. After many years of innovative and enlarging activities, the Naldoni family has completed the project of a brand-new mill, located just 13km from the historical mill of Faenza. The project was carried out in collabora- tion with GEA – Golfetto Sangati, which took over the building and supplying operations. The mill was designed and built for a soft wheat pro- duction capacity of 250 tons per day. However, thanks to its technical expertise, GEA – Golfetto Sangati managed to increase capacity up 280 tons per day, guaranteeing at least 30 different grades of high-quality flour from a sing- le source of wheat. A great result obtained also thanks to the machines and technical innovations of GEA – Golfetto Sangati, including: • TPA intensive scourer used for both dry and wet gra- in processing. Healthy flours are obtained thanks to the intensive cleaning performed on the grain kernel surface, which significantly reduce the percentage of ashes and bacterial contamination; • SYNTHESIS rollermill, which guarantees a linear and precise milling performance, thanks to the new CPN mic- rometric regulation system; • MODULO 10/28 Plansichter, compact and lightwei- ght because of its aluminum structure. The 740x740 fra- mes guarantee an optimal and consistent sieving process. Being the frames in plastic and stainless steel, the machi- ne results compliant with the current hygienic regulations, thus allowing for direct contact with food; • SEMOLINA HP55 Purifier, a new concept of purificati- on which makes the diagram more versatile. The purificati- on surface has been increased by 10%, due to the utilizati- on of 550mm square sieves, causing also a 12% footprint reduction. Given the different internal distribution of the sieves and the reduction in machine length, the air flow distribution is much more uniform and more easily control- led across the length of the machine, resulting in fine, me- dium and coarse semolina, with a high level of purification. GEA – Golfetto Sangati and Molino Naldoni proudly took an important step in the evolution of milling techno- logies, combining milling tradition and innovation.
