This new generation of roller mill was presented to the visitors for the first time at IAOM MEA Region 30th Annual Con- ference & Expo in Dubai. “Roller mill Onz can be used within a system in varying numbers depending on the technically equipped capacities with respect to product types, in order to obtain the desired product by breaking and crushing cereals,” the company said. “Designed by a well-known Italian designer with its su- perior technology and innovative design understanding, the new roller mill is ready for the new artificial intelli- gence system of Alapros lights-out manufacturing and industry 4.0 idea. The roller mill body is more solid and made of a lighter fiber technology. This new technolo- gy for food manufacturing equipment provides more ef- ficient and less costs for building project for investors.” said Mehmet Alapala, Member of the Board of Alapros. Alapros offers products and services from the custom development and manufacturing of flour milling machines and equipment with integrated solutions; such as design, diagram, automation and commissioning. Brazilian food processor Marfrig Global Foods SA is to launch a global brand of plant-based meat products, according to a statement sent to Reuters. A gourmet hamburger to be served in Brazilian restaurants will be the first product rolled out under the brand Revolution, the statement said. Next year, the veggie burgers will be exported and sold in local supermarkets, the company said. Food processors have been increasing bets on meatless alternatives in response to changing consum- er habits. The trend has given rise to non-meat start-ups like Beyond Meat Inc and Impossible Foods Inc in the United States. In August, Marfrig partnered with U.S.- based Archer Daniels Midland Co to develop processed vegetable meat products. Brazilian Burger King restaurants launched the “Reb- el Whopper” in September that contains the plant-based burger jointly created by Marfrig and ADM. Marfrig did not disclose how much it will spend to promote the brand.
