38 MILLER / aprıl 2021 NEWS Milleral, flour milling brand of IMAS, has recently commissioned the second line of Tekbaş Flour Mills in Konya. The first line was also built my Milleral some years ago. Each line has the capaci- ty to produce 450 tons of flour, 900 tons in total. The flour extraction rate is 75% to 80%. The mill section consists of 6 floors, while the clean- ing and packaging sections consist of 7 floors. MML 25100 and MML 30100 Mul- timilla roller mills were used in this mill. Pre-cleaning sec- tion has a capacity of 100 tons, where a MGSH 120 High Capacity Grain Separa- tor is used. IMAS said the mill is highly automated and energy effi- cient with automatic damp- eners, scales, soft starters for pneumatic motors, au- tomatic stops for silo con- veyors and full automation. IMAS also applied its Smart- Lub automated lubrication system in this project. Milleral commissions second line for Tekbaş Flour Mills Egypt has inaugurated the regional centre for grain trading technology in Birqash, implemented by the state- run General Company for Silos and Storage. The centre is one of several projects funded by a $300 million UAE grant allocated for building 25 wheat silos, the Minister of International Cooperation, Rania El-Mashat, said in a statement. The supply sector in Egypt has received a total funding of $129 million from several development partners such as the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and OPEC Fund for International Development, in addition to UAE grants and funds provided under the Egyptian-Italian debt swap programme. The Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Ali El-Mosel- hy, said that the country’s strategic reserve of wheat is sufficient for 4.7 months, noting that the storage capac- ity of wheat has been more than doubled to 3.4 million tonnes from 1.6 million.
