Alapala and Axor Srl joined forces to deliver turnkey pasta production plants from Italy to the world. Alapala, a leading provider of turnkey wheat, semolina, maize and feed mills with over 700 suc- cessfully completed projects and Axor Srl, Italian pasta technology company delivering pasta pro- duction plants worldwide will expand their strate- gic partnership to build integrated plants for the food industry. Developing products and solutions to meet needs in food technologies, Alapala continues to make investments to grow further. Alapala's new move took place in Italy, the leading country in the global pasta and pasta technologies indus- tries. Alapala has acquired the majority of the shares of Axor Srl to ensure a strong relationship with one of Italy's pioneering companies in pasta technologies. Pointing to the fact that pasta technologies are integrated with flour milling in the food industry, Alapala Holding CEO Görkem Alapala said, "As the world's one of the leading grain processing technology groups and Turkey's leader grain pro- cessing and food technology exporter company, we have extended our operations to pasta tech- nologies industry through an acquisition. We will be operating in international markets in this niche sector. We will continue our production in Italy with our partner whom are the founders of Axor Srl. By combining our networks through the part- nership between Alapala and Axor Srl, we will be able to supply integrated plants." Alapala Holding operates in the industries of machine manufacturing, industrial automation, food and industrial construction. As Turkey's lead- ing food technology group and exporter, Alapala manufactures wheat, maize and rice processing machinery, feed technologies, pasta technolo- gies and grain transport/storage equipment and machinery in its production facilities in Turkey and Italy.
