34 MILLER / DECEMBER 2022 NEWS CHS Inc., a leading agribusiness cooperative, announced the appointment of Megan Rock as vice president, sustainability and innovation and chief sustainability officer (CSO). She is responsible for developing and executing sustainability and innovation strategies across the $48 billion enterprise. Before CHS, Rock served as vice president of corporate responsibility, sustainability and sustainable solutions at Bunge Inc. She also held sustainability and environmental manage- ment positions in the government and banking sectors. “I’m thrilled to join CHS and guide the formalization of our sustainability and innova- tion business function. As the company’s first CSO, I am proud to bring my experiences to the organization and my deep expertise to the job,” said Rock. In the newly created position, Rock will over- see the integration of sustainability-related topics, including reporting, and Cooperative Ventures, a cap- ital fund focused on creating advancements in breakthrough technologies for the agriculture industry. “Megan will help CHS develop the internal governance and processes need- ed to execute long-term financial success relat- ed to environmental and social factors, along with our strategic investments in innovation through our Cooperative Ventures fund,” said David Black, senior vice president, enterprise transformation and chief information officer. Rock holds a bachelor of science degree in soil, environmental and atmospheric sci- ence from the University of Missouri and a graduate certificate in advanced studies in environmental policy and management from the University of Denver. Rock has served on the board of directors for Field to Market and Ag Future of America. In 2015, she received the Change- maker of Tomorrow award from Keep Akron (Ohio) Beau- tiful and is a member of the St. Louis Business Journal 40 under 40 class of 2020. On November 9, the first truck unloaded its ship- ment at the new CESCO EPC facility in Germany. On a total area of 1,000 m2, CESCO has set-up a new hall for the logistics and final assembly of its products for worldwide shipping. This modern facility is located in the city of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg (Germany) on the industrial campus called The Plant, a strategic area northwest of the city center that is home to important technology companies such as SIEMENS and other start-This new logistics and assembly facility represents an import- ant step in terms of innovation and infrastructure de- velopment for the company, creating an operational base close to its main suppliers and the other CESCO Group facilities in Wutha-Farnroda (Germany), Reggio Emilia (Italy), Zrenjanin (Serbia) and Zaragoza (Spain), thereby increasing the efficiency and flexibility of cus- tomer deliveries. “I am very proud to be witness to this important milestone in the expansion of the CESCO group, bringing our products closer to our customers and our employees and strengthening our presence in Ger- many and preparing our company for future growth,” says Dr. Martino Celeghini, Vice President of CESCO EPC GmbH.
